Tutorial Groups

To establish rapport between the teacher and the taught, all the students are divided into tutorial groups. Each group is placed under the guidance of a tutor who keeps records of the activities and progress of the students of the group during their stay in the college. Character certificates are issued on the basis of these records.

National Service Scheme

The N.S.S. Unit of the college provides opportunities to the college students to participate in projects of community service in the adjoining localities.. Activities of these camps include sanitation and beautification of the campus, awareness programmes regarding general health, mental health and spiritual health, HIV/AIDS, sexual abuse and adolescent health etc. Various Competitions like slogan writing, poster making, creative writing, declamation etc. are also undertaken. Tree plantation, blood donation and rallies on special themes are also conducted during the camps.

Co-Curricular Activities

To compliment the curricular activities and to groom the trainee teachers to develop a well rounded personality, a plethora of intra and inter college co-curricular competitions are organized throughout the year.

The session begins with a week long orientation programme with an aim not only to familiarize the students with traditions, norms and various activities of the college but also to give them opportunities to exhibit their talents by organizing 'Talent Search Programme'. Seminars and talks on topics from diverse fields are also organized during the orientation programme to educate and enlighten the students.

Student bodies elected by the students run the cultural and Science Societies of the College which hold various programme/activities from time to time like debates, declamation, elocutions, quiz , creative writing,poetry recitation,slogan writing mock press conference, painting, cooking, salad dressing, flower arrangements competitions etc. All the important days are celebrated by holding either some competition or by arranging talks of eminent people/experts in their fields. In addition, many of the competitions related to the professional training of the students like “Skill in Teaching”, “Blackboard Writing “ and “Preparation of Teaching Aids” are also organized to enhance their professional skills.

To sensitize and educate students on some important social and health issues, various camps, campaigns, rallies and workshops are organized.

Value Education Periods

Value Education periods are organized on Mondays and are an important feature of college life. Students contribute speeches, devotional songs etc. to these programmes. The important days and landmarks of Indian and world history are celebrated during these assemblies.

Sports

Sports and Athletic activities, which are held regularly are compulsory for all the students. Annual Athletic meet is held which witnesses enthusiastic student participation.
